The Investigation

The main crime scene was believed to have occurred on the Cottage Way side of the park alongside the local Home Depot on the 2200 block of Howe Avenue. Round impacts were discovered in the iron fence alongside the nearby Home Depot. The physical evidence showed that one of the gunmen had been discharging rounds toward the south from Cottage Way targeting the Home Depot. The store itself was locked down during the incident. Crime scene technicians and detectives worked tirelessly for hours.
